D&D, Call of Cthulhu, One Page RPGs, and much moreIt's that time again folks; we're back for more!
On the first saturday of term 2 we'll be gathering together to once more play RPG oneshots! Every wanted to give RPGs a try? Maybe missed the oneshots last term? Well come along! There'll be lots of people running many different systems, in fact we're encouraging the esoteric! While good ol' fashioned Dungeons and Dragons is still on the table, you might also have the option to play rarer systems like cyberpunk madness in The Sprawl, action movie heroism in Feng Shui, or adventuring through the galaxy in Starfinder, to give some examples from previous years.
For those of you unfamiliar, here's how the day runs: we gather a crowd of people to the Social Sciences cafe at 12 (Noon), those running games will pitch their sessions, and players will then split off into groups as they choose what they wish to play. It's that simple. And the great thing is, there's always something for everyone! And remember, lots of people at the event will never have played that system before, or even any RPGs, so don't worry if you don't know how to play - you won't be alone, and the GMs will be happy to teach you.
And of course at the end of the day, we'll be meeting back up again for a pub visit to Varsity at 7pm, for drinks, food, and a chance to share stories of the day's madcap adventures.
So come on down and try something new! You don't need society membership, and you don't even really need to sign up; we'll take anyone who turns up on the day, but it really helps us get an idea of numbers if you do sign up here.
