That was when the radio static briefly became clear. Someone on
the other end screaming that HQ was being overrun. The last order
from the top to make a break for it. Like you weren’t already. Then
that final message that hung there in the vehicle, like the worst
news in a hospital waiting room: “Good luck. You’re on your own.”

Twilight: 2000 is a roleplaying game about survival in mankind’s most desperate hour. In the year 2000 of a history that took a different turn from our own, the world is ravaged by war. Roleplaying in the World War III that never was.
Yet, in this very bleak world, there is still hope. Mere survival is not enough. In the midst of utter destruction, you can start to build something new. Rally more people to your ranks. Stake a claim and protect it. And maybe, if you live long enough, start turning the tide.
This session is perfectly beginner-friendly, it runs off a version of Free League's year zero engine focusing on storytelling and survival! The aim is for the game to be a taster, running a short-form mission set in post-nuclear strike Poland that has you outrunning the Soviets! It should take one or two sessions to complete with options to extend as far as we would like to.
