The Game System:
Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition, the most popular TTRPG game system, based around the roll of a d20.
In Dungeons and Dragons you’ll be playing a character with their own sheet, wherein is kept their abilities, skills, weapons and magic. Infinite stories can be told within the system, and player agency and creativity is encouraged, with the Dungeon Master acting as a narrator and referee of events
The Game:
A short and easily accessible cinematic oneshot filled with colourful characters, The Sandseer's Scorn sees you take control of a character in a mercenary party, who call the scorching southern deserts home.
“In these deserts resides a mage who tells portents of the future based upon the passing of grains of sand, living in solitude, the mage is left to his own devices. However, the mysterious disappearance of the Sandseer and smoke rising on the horizon has raised questions, and your rag-tag group of mercenaries must delve deep into the desert, and discover the secrets of the sorcerer…”
This oneshot is a mysterious action adventure, with themes taken from Pirates of the Caribbean to The Mummy series, and of course classic fantasy.
The Characters:
You’ll have the option of either picking a pre-generated character on the day, or making your own. If making your own, we’ll be using point buy with any official content allowed. If you want to make your own character but don’t know how, before we get started on the day I can walk you through it!
Other Information:
This game is an in-person event.
Completely newbie friendly - I’ve taught people all over the world Dungeons and Dragons, so you won’t be imposing at all!
