Miniatures

Do you like models? You probably do considering where this is posted. If so why not push yourself to make a truly unique model (or squad if you are bold), either for use in a wargame like Warhammer 40k or Turnip28, or for other uses like DnD.

What is kitbashing / converting you may ask? The broad definitions are that kitbashing involves simply swapping existing bits on your model out for other parts usually with minimal extra effort to reshape or change parts to fit, whereas converting covers more extensive changes like additional sculpting, using non-miniature parts like chains or wires, and more extensive alterations to pieces that require extra effort.

The rules are fairly simple, I would like you to use a new or unfinished model and do some kind of kitbash or conversion, the details of which are entirely up to you. You WON'T need to have your model fully painted by the time I judge the entries, although I would advise you prime it as I find that creates a much more cohesive look compared to a model covered in materials of different colours. I would advise that you aim for a single model so you can really put your all into it, although it is up to you if you want to do a squad or something more ambitious like a tank. Then just bring it to the session and I will pick a winner.

I (Bruce) will be judging your entries during the final Monday wargames session of the term, which will be from 5pm to 10pm on December 2nd (check the discord for the exact room that will be used, James should announce that the weekend prior). Once everyone has arrived the judging process likely won't take longer than 15 or so minutes.

The most important rule is to have fun!
