Meet in Social Sciences Cafe
Lord of the Rings RPG, run by a first time GM. A series of adventures set in Rohan, between the events of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, under the reign of King Thengel. Players can assume the roles of adventurers from origins such as: Dwarves of Erebor, Mirkwood Elves, Bardings of Dale and Laketown, followers of Beorn, Woodmen of Wilderland, Hobbits from the Shire, Riders of Rohan and Dunlendings. Adventurers can be Treasure Hunters, Scholars, Slayers, Wanderers and Wardens.
The adventures centre on King Thengel’s attempts to end the blood feud between his two most powerful captains, set against a backdrop of a rise of the forces of evil and a resurgence of Orcs from the White Mountains. The actions of the players will determine the fate of the land for many years to come.
First session (19th Jan) will be character creation and possibly the first adventure. The campaign will last for the second term. Six players is advertised, but I may be able to accommodate more, so message me on the society website if it is full and you are interested. Will probably need at least 4 players, but will see how many sign up.
