So yeah, this week I thought I’d show you my great new D&D homebrew class - The Tabletop Games and Roleplaying Society Member! And don’t worry about the levelling requirements, you’re all level 20 in my heart <3

WARGAMES
Monday 17:00 to 22:00, OC1.04 Oculus Building
At level 1, you gain the ability to be good at moving tiny figures around a map. Whenever you make a Sleight of Hand check, make it with advantage. Also, you become exceptionally okay at judging distance - you apply a +1 modifier to all Charisma-based rolls when talking about distance. If you play X-wing, whenever you use this skill, you then crash into an asteroid, whoops. Finally, you can now attend Wargames on Mondays!

MAGIC: THE GATHERING
Tuesday 18:00 to 22:00, B2.01 Science Concourse
At level 5, you may use your love of Magic: The Gathering to persuade enemies to get into it. In place of an attack, you may make a Persuasion roll contested by the enemy’s Wisdom; if successful, they take 3d4+4 wallet da mage at the start of each of their turns by buying new Magic cards. Furthermore, your knowledge of Magic allows you to take part in the weekly (currently Dominaria) draft on Tuesdays: this will cost you 8gp (roughly £8), reduced by 2gp (£2) per pack you supply yourself.

BOARDGAMES
Wednesday 14:00 to 22:00, B2.02 Science Concourse
At level 9, you gain the ability to entertain the masses with your wonderful choice of board games - you may at any time roll a d20 to conjure up a board game based on your roll (see the Board Game Choice table below) and then play it. This ability cannot be used again until after a short rest. Furthermore, you gain the ability to come to Wednesday’s board games session, nice.

Board Game Choice Table
02-20: A game of your choice.
01: Battlestar Galactica.

CASUAL CARD GAMES
Thursday 16:00 to 22:00, B2.02 Science Concourse
At level 14, you gain the ability to play card games other than Magic! Choose one of the following:
Netrunner: You decide to learn Netrunner, an excellent game of bluffing and hacking. You look fantastic in cyberpunk sunglasses, and when wearing them double your Charisma modifier.
Yu-Gi-Oh: You decide to learn Yu-Gi-Oh, a game known for being fair and balanced. You may shout “I ACTIVATE MY TRAP CARD!” when an enemy attacks, and if you do, you may give a very specific reason for the attack not working. If the DM thinks this is a high quality reason, the attack is cancelled. This ability cannot be used again until after a short rest.
Commander: Instead of learning a new game, you decide to focus your efforts on Magic by learning a different variant. Your MAGIC: THE GATHERING ability now does 5d4+4 wallet damage; however, if it ever fails you take 3d4+4 wallet damage by inspiring yourself to buy more Magic cards.
Furthermore, you can now attend Thursday Casual Card Games sessions and play any of those games!

TABLETOP ROLEPLAYING GAMES
Saturday 12:00 to 22:00, Meeting in the Social Sciences Café
At level 17, you gain the ability to play an RPG. On reaching this level, make a character sheet for a system of your choosing - whenever you would make an ability check you may instead choose an appropriate stat from your character sheet and roll it as if that character were performing the action. This ability cannot be used again until after a short rest. Uhh, RPGs in RPGs? My head hurts…
You can also run and take part in RPGs under the guide of the society! Remember to always ask your GM if/when your session is running.

LIVE ACTION ROLEPLAYING
Sunday 12:00 to 18:00, OC0.01 Oculus Building
At level 20, you are so powerful in your ability to fake combat that any old item can be used as a weapon with enough conviction. You may wield any object as an improvised weapon, shouting “single”, “double” or “triple” when it strikes to do d8, 2d8 or 3d8 damage respectively. At the end of a combat encounter you lose this ability until after your next short rest (or long rest if you used “double”, or next session if you used “triple”). Also, you can come to the weekly LARP on Sundays.

WEEKLY NEWS
This is where my D&D homebrew class ends - I hope you consider using it in your games! It’s definitely very fair and balanced. There’s not much news this week except apparently the rules of physics were broken in Wargames and caused a dice to balance quite impressively (see the photos). Wow, do wargames give you the ability to break the rules of physics? I should add that to my homebrew class!
If you’ve still got exams - good luck! There’s a light at the end of the tunnel, I promise.
