Late? A wizard is never late! Well, actually this is super late. Forgive me avid meeting minute purveyor, no doubt your uncontrollable desire to read these exciting insights into exec life can finally be satiated. As you can tell, I'm still getting into the swing of this vice secretary thing...

Reminders and Updates

  1. Term started the day after this meeting (queue panic)
  2. Online events were run over the Easter break with success
  3. April Fools joke was successful (see slides for numbers)
  4. Hoodie orders (panic increasing)
  5. Exec need to do the 'training' from the SU

1. Weekly Events

After a successful bout of events run online over the Easter break, we decided to poll the membership to see how we should change how we run these events to best suit everyone.

This led to the conclusion that Mondays worked well for BGs and Wargames, while Draft and CCGs can try to run at their usual time. The website was then updated to reflect this.

2. Big Events

Lots of our larger events run at the end of Term 3 but due to Coron- The Backstreet Boys Reunion Tour Some of these will need some reevaluation. Quiz is entirely possible, while Extravaganza and Megagame will work with some modifcation. Our planned trips to UK Games Expo and Empire LARP have both been delayed until those events actually run.

While these delays prove problematic, we have discussed the idea of new events. One of these is a charity stream, which will be discussed in future meetings.

3. Handover Trip

In order to better acquaint new exec and celebrate handover, we usually have a meal involving new and ex-exec. However, certain limitations mean we've opted for an alternative event - a movie! Anakin will organise when he has time.

4. Online Events outside of Self Isolation

Raised in #general on main discord was the idea of raising awareness of using our discord for online games after all this. On the other hand, these online events are only meant to replace our actual events.

We'll likely reconsider after all this, but it shall definitely be reduced so as to not overwhelm exec.

Next Meeting

With isolation happening, there's not much to discuss. However, we'll likely start planning big events next time. See you there!
