💭 Reminders/Updates

How was Board Games Weekend?
- Ice cream??? Is in Alex’s freezer
- Fair number of games going, regular board games kind of numbers
How was Hallowe’ek?
- LARP was inside - “they tamed a spider and gave it a gun”
- Chaos draft was gud
- Board Games - 5 or 6 people in costume (quite a few people who didn’t get the memo - advertising needs to be better in the future)
- CCGs was incredibly normal
- Wargames was also normal (Reylynn classified all the ancient models)
- Jon has also been going through the wargames cupboard and sorted a bunch of stuff
Budget bid got submitted 🎉 Decision hopefully by the 12th according to Chih-Hsiang
Societies Survey got submitted 🎉
Has anyone invited Chih-Hsiang to any events?
- Alex invited him to board games and he’s coming this wednesday!!
- 🏃‍♂️ If you want to invite Chih-Hsiang to your event, please do, it would be good to promote ourselves
Board Games Lending contract - Lewis wrote it up, looks gud
- Need to pretty up the documents and publish them on the website (and make an announcement that they exist now)

- 🏃‍♂️ Hannah: make an announcement about it over our socials

🕐 1. Open Day Socs Fair

6th November (that’s this coming weekend), 8.30am-5pm
It’s in the Mead Gallery, in the newly refurbished Arts Centre. Exciting.
Important that we’re there on time and don’t pack up early, or they’ll reduce how much they pay us (£11 an hour, totals £77)
I made a spreadsheet a long time ago. Let’s look at that and sort duties out

🕑 2. Merch

Final costings:
- Badges: £1.80 each
- Stickers: £2.50 each
Ares made a comprehensive list of all the merchandise and it's organisational status, which you can see in the table image at the end of this section
🏃‍♂️ Ike: finish hoodie form (add order number field, add pictures)
🏃‍♂️ Ike: create SU pages for all the items

🕒 3. Board Games Auction + Book Sale

Need to set a date/time! → wrap it into Week 9 Tabletop Weekend (Saturday evening), books can be left out for the weekend
Need to make a comprehensive overview of board games we want to sell off
- Old catans ?
- LOTR game
- 🏃‍♂️ Alex: pull out all the old board games that we want to get rid of and put them in a separate bag (send a list/photos in exec chat)
Need to decide on policy for selling the books (and what we do with the remainders that we don’t sell)
- Old sci-fi and fantasy novels from the distant past of the society
- Don’t publish list beforehand, just do a rock up and browse and buy session while the auction happens
- 50p per book nominal amount
- Any leftover books get donated to a charity shop
We’re waiting on a donation of games from someone?
- Alex will send a chase-up email
Auction off some of the really old soc dice

Nigel’s bag???? 🏃‍♂️ Jon: talk to Nigel → Nigel was fine with his old bag being returned in a damaged state and didn’t want the new one so we keep the new one. Success.

🕓 4. Quick Quiz Discussion

What buy-in cost should we set? £1.50
- That * # of people we expect (8 teams of 4 = 32) = £48
- That / 4 = £12
- So we can spend £10 on each prize
Any prize ideas?
- Finnbar: ask Alex about a mini mini set worth £10
- Alex: find a smol board game
- Ares: add dragonshields onto chaos cards order
- Fourth prize: dice or similar smol, look on chaos cards for dice
Does anyone want to be in charge of getting the prizes (who isn’t me because I’m horrendously busy)?
- Divided up amongst people above, 🏃‍♂️ Alex, Ares, Finnbar: sort out quiz prizes
Round runners: Ares, Scarlett, James, Lap, Lils, Nathan or Anakin
