💭 What happened last week? 💭
Dusk City Outlaws was a massive success, including the twist of the century of the corpse we were stealing a necklace from bolting upright just as her husband confessed to her murder. Also, Reylynn apparently cursed the dice gods because their dice luck was... statistically improbable. (This is a system where high=bad)
Hell hates him! - Local Dwarf discovers secret to fighting devils. (The trick is to become 16ft tall and have a bunch of adventurers beat it up)
Extra Bonus End Bit
Today's Fun RPG Content is actually a semi-serious worldbuilding idea - mundane uses of magic. Sure, a few mages will be adventurers or famed researchers, but most people aren't likely (unless there's something really weird about what kind of people get magic) to be sold on the idea of risking their lives for money they're then going to spend on even fancier equipment so they can deal with something scarier. Throwing out little details that involve casual use of magic by people who aren't adventurers, whether to move cargo around easier, dye clothing cheaply, or bolster plant growth, helps sell a high magic setting. Likewise, the absence of that, and of magic being treated with awe and fear, helps sell a setting where magic is unpredictable or rare, something only adventurers resort to because they're already risking their lives for cash.
Wash your hands, stay inside, and come play some games with us (online) 💛
