📣 The AGM!
It's the final reminder! The AGM is on the 2nd of March, (that's this Wednesday) in B2.02, from 7-9pm. If you want to find out more about the AGM check out the forum thread. Please turn up on the day if you can, and please vote!!! (Voting will be open on the website from 12pm Thursday 3rd to 12pm Sunday 6th, and we need to hit quorum for the elections to be valid.)
Finnbar will also hunt you forever (while still being chased by the bear) if you don't verify your membership on the website (and can vote this election), so please do so before the AGM! You can do so on your website profile.
❓ ❗ The Quiz! ❗❓
This term's Tabletop Quiz is on the 11th of March, from 6-9pm, in OC1.06. There's a £1.50 entry fee to cover the cost of our prizes! Brace yourself for 🐸, cooking with Link, queer indie gaymes, Warhammer Rules Lawyering, Identifying Villains by their redeeming qualities,... Nigel?, and a special bonus round from Yours Truly featuring [Redacted].
🎲 Tabletop Weekend!
Tabletop Weekend is coming up again! Notably, this time because of open day shenanigans, it starts at 7pm on Saturday the 12th March, and runs until 10pm on Sunday the 13th. Currently, there are plans for overnight Commander, a Netrunner UnSet draft, and Twilight Imperium nonsense. If you also want to do something big, then please let me know by next Sunday so I can advertise it and help you get players!

- Tuesday 6-10pm: In Person Draft - B2.02 - NEO - £10 - you must sign up here to take part
- Wednesday 2-10pm: In Person Board Games - B2.02, B2.04/5 (It's complicated. We have B2.02 from 2-5pm, then B2.04/5 from 5-10pm, with B2.01 from 4-10pm to help with the changeover from B2.02 to B2.04/5, and the AGM in B2.02 from 7pm)
- Thursday 5-10pm: In Person CCGs - B2.04/5
- Sunday 12-5pm: LARP - B2.02

💭 What happened last week? 💭
Some professional spy advice from Ben's Night's Black Agents game - if you suspect a room is bugged, play Britney Spears at full volume.
Meanwhile in Lewis's Tuesday Blades, Ed dropped a whole planning table on us as he went through a plan he'd thought of for us to assault the base we've been putting off assaulting for two weeks involving "being airdropped by a giant crow", which means tomorrow will be wild! (and only slightly possibly maybe fatal...)
Extra Bonus End Bit
RPG design time - the PCs are Aliens, fighting Knights, are surviving to/by collecting human souls, it's a YA crime drama, with Dixit-powered divination and Adverse Advancement, with simulation-ish story magic.
Ok so: The PCs (and all the city's inhabitants, in fact) are aliens in a massive, sprawling, space station, long since abandoned by its creators. All that is left of them is their robot knight guardians, and the massive cache of human souls that power all the station's various machinery. Steal them, and you've got instant riches, power, political sway, everything a budding thief could want.
There's just one catch. The station's security are far superior to anything that your average thief has access to, and while they can be crept around, lied to, or simply distracted, once they're on to you they can't be outmaneuvered or outfought.
However, the station was originally designed as the pioneer of augmented reality amusement technology. This means if you speak the right words, you can activate those long-dormant systems, and drag everyone surrounding you into a story, where they have to act within the roles set out for them. The better you get at telling those stories, however, the more they stick with you in the real world, for better and for worse.
