WARGAMES SLEEPER AGENT ACTIVATED
Citizens of Tabletop Society, on this day we mark a transition. For a thousand years, our Society has stood as the crowning achievement of the civilised galaxy. But there are those who would set us against each other, and so we must take up arms under the leadership of Wargames. The other factions never suspected that the greatest threat in fact came from within. The Exec had hoped to grind the society into ruin. But the darkness in their hearts could not be hidden forever. At last, there came a day when our enemies showed their true natures.
The Wargames Coup, long fabled, has finally been achieved. A Wargames Rep has become embedded as President, many roles are taken by X-Wing players, the faction has a Wargames Rep and Assistant Wargames, and Jon, the exiled Rep, has been preserved as Holiday Officer. The time for the oft-mentioned Coup is now. Dissenters will be crushed beneath the weight of the average 40k player's dice set, or put to work assembling the Society collection of Blood Bowl minis. Loyal wargamers contained the insurrection within B2.02 and quelled uprisings on a thousand board games.
The remaining Exec shall be hunted down and defeated! Any collaborators will suffer the same fate. These have been trying times, but we have passed the test, and though the attempt on my sanity by two Blades in the Dark groups has left me scarred and deformed, but I assure you my resolve has never been stronger. The war is over. The Exec have been defeated, and their rebellion has been foiled.
We stand on the threshold of a new beginning. In order to ensure our security and continuing stability, Tabletop Society will be reorganised into the First Tabletop Empire, for a safe and secure society, which I assure you will last for ten thousand years! An Empire will continue to be ruled by this august body, a sovereign ruler chosen for life. A Tabletop ruled by the majority, ruled by the Wargames Cabal!
By bringing the entire faction under Wargames, one faction, and the enlightened guidance of one individual, the corruption that plagued the society will never take root. The Wargames Rep and Assistant Wargames Rep will eliminate the bureaucracy that allowed the other factions to work unchecked. A strong tournament system will ensure the rule of law.
The Wargames Order has triumphed over the shadowy secrecy of the exec. The direction of our course is clear. I will lead this Empire to glories beyond imagining. We have been tested, but we have emerged stronger. We move forward as one people, one Faction; the citizens of the First Tabletop Empire. We will prevail. Ten thousand years of peace begins today!
