Thank you to everyone who has already signed up and if you want to be part of some geopolitical chaos on Sunday 19th June, make your way across to our SU ticket sales page and buy yourself a ticket for just £3 if you are a member, or £4 if you aren't.
Once you've bought your ticket, please join the specific Discord server so you can be contacted and also so you can pick your role for the game. There are still 10 roles left for various human factions and 1 role left for aliens, with roles being first come, first served.

🗳🏳️🌈 And our charity for Tabletop Radio is... Galop!
You all voted and this Tabletop Radio is raising money for Galop! Galop is a U.K.-based charity that supports LGBTQ+ victims of abuse. They are currently working to fund the National Conversion Therapy Helpline, amongst other initiatives, and we’re really keen to be able to support them via our Twitch stream on the 30th June and 1st July.
We also have a test stream happening on Twitch this Saturday (June 4th) in order to prep our technical equipment and get the sound and cameras looking incredibly snazzy and professional for y'all. It will mostly be gently chaotic, but there may be some music and it's also a free opportunity to sass anyone on stream via chat, so feel free to hop over to our Twitch channel to say hi if you would like. We haven't quite nailed down timings for the day, but we'll let you know on Discord at some point this week.

Ben has very kindly provided me with a write up of this very cool crossover event.
“Wait, Ben, what's the point of this whole collab?
Well, Wizards of the Coast, in yet another blatant cashgrab piece of corporate synergy, are releasing a Magic the Gathering card set, taking place in the Forgotten Realms (the main, generic D&D setting)- this links up nicely with the various D&D sourcebooks that allow you to run around on a number of Magic's "planes" (settings). So, this event exists to promote this synergy, introduce RPG players and CCG players to each other's worlds and generally boost intra-society collaboration
Part 1 - INTRO TO MAGIC THE GATHERING

Lap, Sophie, and our friendly CCGs players are running a beginner focused drop-in session (so turn up when you want, stay as long as you want). This event will let you learn everything you need to know about cards, the gameplay and general way in which MTG works!

Part 3 - COMMANDER LEGENDS: BATTLE FOR BALDUR’S GATE (this is the part where my shoddy MTG knowledge gets exposed)

So, this is a type of MTG where you "draft" a deck by picking cards and passing the rest on. You then do battle, throwing spells, summoning creatures and generally having a total blast! This event is open to both beginners and experienced veterans, but it is recommended that newcomers attend Part One in order to understand what the heck is going on. This also costs £13 to participate in.”

💭 What happened last week? 💭
A word of advice about the board game Concept: I do not recommend picking a multi-word phrase that you, nor the rest of the players, have heard of. It will cause 20 plus minutes of psychic damage, as the players literally have to guess word by word and write down each new word so they don't forget it and lose all progress.
If you've ever heard the 15th century phrase, "What's bred in the bone comes out in the flesh" then I am both impressed and confused.
(Also, please note that most of the players spent the majority of the time presuming that "bred" was in fact "bread" and so you can imagine the extra confusion that provoked).
Extra Bonus End Bit
Now freshly fed, watered, clothed, and armed, your players are surely ready to face whatever you throw at them. Tentatively, (or brazenly I guess, idk your party) the party make their way to the door and open it onto the street, ready to tackle whatever terrors await, only to see…
- Not like other ghouls - These ghosts don't care that the stereotype for wraiths is be the “thing that goes bump in the night”. They are ready and willing to put on a show all day, any day, come rain or shine, and they torment all those around them with constant droning about how they are better than all the other spectres out there. They are oblivious to the fact that they are far from the only ghostly beings to brave the daytime, as that simply doesn't suit their narrative.
- Babies, in mechs? - The wailing cries of a thousand bawling children greets the party, causing them to stumble back at the intensity of the sound. The mechs are dastardly, fearsome looking machines and you realise immediately that these are not to be fought (for you could never win even if you tried) but to be appeased. For full immersion the GM can bring their own actual child that they forgot to organise babysitting for.
- Chimirror - this beast’s mirrored hide confuses and distracts by showing not your own reflection, but a distortion that highlights all the things you dislike about yourself. Upon exhaling, it releases a viscous, flammable jet of liquid that hangs momentarily in the air, this time reflecting an amalgamation of everyone you’ve ever loved, before the fluid ignites.
- Vamp-fliers - These winged mammals have broad leathery wings, navigate via echolocation, and a deadly attack that consists of luring people in with their wicked facts about the history of aviation before sucking their blood and replacing it with glitter. Legally distinct from bats.
(Sorry that this is only a d4 table, there are more deadly foes to see next week, but the one I'm currently battling is my own tiredness).
