Hey y'all, I hope everyone is doing well and has more or less managed to survive the term. Enormous congratulations for making it through another year and I hope you are all able to enjoy this last gaming bonanza that we're putting on for you throughout this week!

🧠❓The Quiz goes to a tiebreak!
Team "ÜwÜ (but with umlauts)" reigned victorious after a hard fought quizzing battle. This time, the quiz involved identifying: mythical monsters, slightly off magical objects, video game music that got dimensionally warped, images produced by an AI (note that AIs do not know what Sherlock Holmes looks like), fake RPG abilities, and when various board games got released.
After the final round, the scores were all round very tight and there was a draw for first between Team ÜwÜ (but with umlauts) and Team Aggro Granny so we went to a sudden death Nigel round (from a quiz long ago). ÜwÜ (but with umlauts) came out on top by question two - big congratulations to them all and a huge thanks for Fern for orchestrating the quiz and all the round runners for a really awesome time!

- 🗓️ Sunday 26th June - Tuesday 28th June
- 🕙 10am - 10pm (including overnight!)
- 🗺️ B2.02 and B2.04/5
Tabletop Extravaganza should be going strong as you’re reading this so if you’re free do head over to B2.02 and B2.04/5 to come and hang out and play some games! All sorts of tabletop stuff will be happening across the three days, so check out the website for any sign ups for larger events, or just come and vibe night and day until late Tuesday evening!
⬅️ Schedule changes for this week
Just a quick reminder that CCGs is running on Wednesday, rather than Thursday, this week, but it's in the normal place at the normal time (B2.02, 5pm-10pm).
Logically, Wednesday board games is not running this week as a) that would directly clash with CCGs and b) you have the chance to participate in 3 uninterrupted days of board gaming if your heart desires, thanks to Tabletop Extravaganza.
🏳️🌈📡 Tabletop Radio and Music Donations!
Our schedule has dropped for Tabletop Radio!
We’re also looking for a small ~live studio audience~ to generate some ambience for a couple of segments. If you’re interested in seeing TableTED Talks or our Music segment live then do please come along - if you can arrive at B2.01 about 15mins before the segment that would be great!
- TableTED Talks - arrive at 19:30 on Thursday
- Music segment - arrive at 19:15 on Friday
Regardless of if you can make it to either of those segments irl, you should come watch us live on Twitch!
Two spaces left for Orbital Blues - Sign up here!
There is also still space to play in our Orbital Blues Oneshot that is being run by Reylynn!
"Do you want to be an interstellar outlaw? Do you want to rob a bank? Do you want to be sad in space? Do you want to help a sudden segment? If you answered yes to all of these, our Orbital Blues RPG section this Tabletop Radio may be for you. Orbital Blues is a rules-lite, rp-focused rpg where vibes are king and sadness is experience.
You'll be heisters heisting a bank on the planet of Paradise. The bank's megacorp has pushed millions into poverty, your crew's about to "reappropriate" some of those funds. Further details will be disclosed to the players, as to not let too many threads lose."
I've played Orbital Blues and it is a very fun, very atmospheric system with a lot of space (ha!) for drama be that because of internal or external conflict.
Music Donations
In an attempt to give our band a chance to learn the tunes you want us to perform, you can now donate £9 to ask our band to [try our best to] play some music you like! The earlier you donate, the longer we'll have to learn your tune and thus the better our rendition will hopefully be. We've only got a small set of instruments so can't promise a perfect rendition, but hopefully it'll still be good fun.
There are ten donation slots still available, although another donation incentive for tunes performed by just Finnbar in a bonus stream will be made available at a later date.
You can donate on our Tiltify page! Also feel free to go and have a look at our Tabletop Radio page on the website to check out all the exciting incentives and stretch goals that are set to become available once we go live.

💭 What happened last week? 💭
In today's issue of "Mick's Adventures in the Grim Darkness of the Far Future", we have what seems to be a miscommunication! Sisters of Battle up against the Imperial Guard! Here, we see Mick point her chainsword directly at the Guard tank.. only for the tank to take notice and begin advancing towards her!
And towards the end of the game! In order to win, the Imperial Guard needed to wipe the Sisters off the board.. in order for the Sisters to win, they needed to survive!
After intense dice rolling, the final outcome was revealed... a SINGLE Battle Sister remained alive! Despite having her whole squad annihilated by a tank cannon, this brave Battle Sister stood strong and survived, winning the Sisters the game!
As you can see, our Tabletop Radio meeting was extremely professional, because we are Proper Gaymers who know what we’re doing at all times.
Extra Bonus End Bit
Now that you’ve determined a vessel from whom you may decant all your lore, it’s time to actually make sure you have some juicy facts and features about this exciting new place to get all your players hooked! Luckily I have just the roll table for you, please enjoy these six intriguing features to get your location to stand out:
- Well, Well, Well - This triangular formation of wells was once the location of a three-way duel. No one knows how it ended and some say that the wells sprung up spontaneously to mark the location of the fight. It is said that if you stand in the centre you can hear voices echoing up from beneath the earth and become dowsed in a deep sense of judgement for all the ridiculous things you've done, after all who thinks that a three way duel could possibly be a sensible idea??
- Mountains out of Molehills - This town was originally constructed in a nice flat area but a few years ago a psychic mole moved in underneath and has been forcing some renovations. Every time someone makes an overly big deal out of something this mole (named Noel) feels a psychic disturbance that causes it significant frustration. It lets out this anger by digging about and perturbing the soil, thus causing the town to shift over time until at this point it's practically a mountain village.
- Mind Boggler's Mirage - Just on the outskirts of the town lies an ancient bog. It is much favoured by those looking for direction in their lives as there are many stories of people insisting that after visiting they were shown their true purpose in visions. Scientists are pretty sure that this is because the fog that rolls off the bog has hallucinogenic properties due to some interesting fungi that grow there.
- The Hatchery - this is just a cool place you can go if you want to try out some new stuff with your gender. They offer makeup classes, clothes swaps, haircuts and a safe environment to play around with your gender presentation and expression.
- Sunrise Scars - If your players want to see this then you should organise to play that session at sunrise out in nature, ideally atop a hill, mountain, or cliff (anywhere with a good view of the sky). The town in game lies in the depths of a gully, where little natural light can reach, but at the far, far end there are a series of cracks out to the sky. If the party makes the treacherous journey up to a small ledge just beneath these openings, they will be rewarded by the most beautiful sunrise they have ever encountered, as golden light refracts off crystals that encrust the walls, causing rainbows that seem like pure magic to filter through and dapple their faces.
- The Botanical Cardens - This technological marvel is a site where tech and nature combine to become one. It is part laboratory, part exhibition, part glasshouse, and part racetrack. Scientists, both biological and synthetic, work to combine plants and vehicles in new and enthralling ways, bringing new meaning to green energy.
Wash your hands, stay safe, and come play some games with us 💛
