Last Week In LARP
- An assassin!: There had been a spate of assassinations in Fitzsabre's court, the most recent one Lord Franklin Welker. Sir Darion was asked to solve these killing and bring in the assassin, to help his new title be honoured. He brought with him Laurence Logman and a mysterious, definitely not-Lupan ally named Appius, to act as his 'squires' for the quest. They first ventured to the Lords manor, where his butler explained that they had first found poison in his cup of tea, before leading the party into the courtyard to see the body of Lord Welker, who had apparently fallen from his bedroom balcony about two stories up. The butler explained that the lord had had a visitor the evening prior, but said visitor had been seen leaving the premises by the guards. The party went through the lord's town, helping an execution go more efficiently, and gaining some insight on the mysterious visitor and where they headed. The trail led them south, across the river to Lupanum, where they helped another execution, then West into the forest, where they met a mercenary, Darius the 3rd (named for his mentor, Darius the 2nd, named for his mentor, Darius the 1st). They fought the assassin, and brought him in for questioning after a long, confusing, mind-effect-filled fight.
Last Week In RPGs
- The Circle of the Extinguished Flame: Wyoming 1956. Six individuals wake up in cells in Wyoming Institute of Research into Development Sciences. An Engineer, a Medic, a Soldier, a Nomad, a Sailor and a Magic Wielder. After escaping their cells, they realise the place has been destroyed, and all inside dead thanks to blasts of Wyrdic Magic and a strange Wyrdic Dust. Making their way through the Institute, the group recover their things, split between a storage lab and the armoury, before heading towards the exit, and where the Magic Wielder (Jessie) senses more wyrdic energy coming from. Heading that way they find a lab, and the facility's power generator. In the Lab, Jessie and the Medic (Briar) stay behind. Briar finds files on the rest of the group. She gives Jessie hers now, and hands the rest out later, but not before reading them. Interested in a magic artefact in the Lab, Jessie examines it before deciding to take it. Meanwhile in the generator room, the rest of the group finds a woman called Maya connected to the generator. She says she's the one who did this. She won't be able to survive without the generator. The Officer (Gideon) takes her out of her misery. The group escape the institute, but not long after they leave, a group of government cars come and find them, and take them away. Who knows where they're off to next. (Highlight courtesy of Pres Holly💜)
