🖌️Painting Competition 🎨
On Monday the 23rd of June, during Wargames, the events continue. Have you got up to any painting this term?
If so, come along and show off your cool models (I imagine they are better painted than my character mini on the event slides).

- KENILWORTH Sir Grubworth Foxtrot, in a final bid for any form of power, took himself and some allies down to the deeps, in search of a sword, in a lake. In their journey, the party, consisting of Grubworth Foxtrot, Lawrence Logman, The Wanderer and Jack, fought bandits, Lupans, and a worm, and talked their way through meetings with cultists, past illusions, and deeper into the deeps towards Green Lake. The illusions seemed to intend to scare them away, getting harsher and hasher very time. The first was a monstrous creature that looked almost deer-like, just. off, calling itself a horse, the second a demon, the third Oath itself, and the final, most desperate, illusion was eight-legged beasts wielding guns. They reached Green Lake, and there they found the source of these illusions - a duellist, name redacted from history, who seemed to resist the pull of the sword. Accompanied by a host of illusions, magic and automata, they fought with the intent to kill, begging futilely for Grubworth to leave, until they were cut down. The party took a short break to recover, before, in the sickly green glow of the mushrooms surrounding this lake, a sword washed ashore. All 4 of them had the same thought. "I need that sword, and I will kill for it.". And so they did. It was a long, bloody battle, and the last left standing was Laurence Logman, who pointed the blade at Grubworth's throat while he died. Grubworth's final words a simple 'fuck you.' to Logman, to Fitzsabre, to those around him who controlled him.

Session 9: And I thought last session ended on cliff hanger... The group head to the courtroom to protest their defence, the meet their assigned lawyer, mid lunch who knows almost nothing about the case and with a terrible track record. The group get a bit concerned but fortunately PC Anders meets an old military friend. This old friend immediately starts happily retelling tails of The Horrors of War. A concerning turn for Anders day since this was the exact reason the left the military. Thankfully, the old friend is able to get some actual legal representation at the trial. Now provided with an actually competent lawyer the party manage to successfully protest their innocence to the judge. Narrowly avoiding a court case, the party go to leave the planet as soon as possible. However, Anders old friend pulls them aside and forces them to come spend the night at the bar. The conversation was solely dominated by the old friends talk of blatant war crimes they'd committed back in the military, PC Anders trying to find a way out. Eventually the two get drunk enough, and Anders directs the old general into a bar fight, using the distraction to slip away. We then made it safely of the planet, heading to the next location! Unfortunately, whilst on the ship we had a problem: Late on night whilst Kalina was on watch, a passenger originally in cryosleep, rushed her with a pistol. Kalina surrendered, getting her hands tied. As the assailant started messing with controls, she pressed the general alarm button for the ship then tried to run from the bridge. Unfortunately, she was shot whilst running, coming terrifyingly close to death. Thankfully at this point the rest of the crew emerged form their bunks, and a close range firefight around the Bridge ensued. Kalina was tended to and the assailant surrounded, when they pulled the pin on a frag grenade, dropped it, and ran. Wonder what's going to happen next? I would love to know too.

The Circle of the Extinguished Flame: The party successfully complete the training set by Umbria, showing a great feat of strength. The group take a pit stop at PC Evelyn's home to visit after she was ripped from it to be taken to the original facility. Nothing much has changed, but a warrant out for her arrest remains as a heavy reminder of the past. Returning to HQ, PC Gideon begins to focus his time into making sure his 'Retrieved From Death' body will keep him alive. He turns to PCs Coco, Briar & Jessie whose combined knowledge of medicine, the wyrd, and the mechanical, should be able to help with this task. A number of bad rolls sends Gideon spiralling into a heart failure, and assistance from the whole party is the only thing to regulate him and get him back to normal, now juiced up with life energy. The group then have another meeting with Mrs N and Umbria about their mission, confirming their targets. The main targets remain the same, but some optional targets have popped up as people who may interfere with the mission. Included in the optional targets are Gideon's old ward, and Briar's husband. Rightfully reacting to the emotions these targets bring up, Gideon steps out to talk to his best mate Eddie. It's only once Fergal goes to join him and sees nobody there that Gideon remembers Eddie is but a shadow, once lost in battle, once stuck in Gideon's mind. Now free.
