We have reached the end of term 3 one more week before term is officially over and I have to wait many many weeks to greet you each week in this delightful newsletter of wonders.
It is at this point we say goodbye to those that are graduating and wish them well on their future endeavours but assure them, they are always welcome back to our future events! 🫶
I love you all 🩷💜💙
❗ Announcements ❗
🙏Thank You 🙏
I want to say a big thank you to everyone who helped out this year and everyone who’s gone to our events! It’s been a very good year for tabletop.
We've had new things tried out and succeeded and old events still continue to thrive! We’ve learned more about our origins as a society and I’m proud of everyone’s achievements!
So keep thriving 💜 and have a lovely Summer Holidays whatever you get up to!
👔MEGAGAME👔
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CAME TO MEGAGAME!
It was so so so much fun! The homebrewed system ‘public enemies’ was just brilliant and for test-running the system for the first time ever it ran so smoothly.
So congrats to Holly, Matthew, Sam, Isobel and Skye for making the day so great and planning everything! (more on megagame later goons!)

💭 What happened last week? 💭
Last week in RPGs
- Sector-C4N: A firefight in the spaceship bridge, a grenade dropped and the Hijacker running away. A very concerning scenario to jump right back into! The assailant ran away, dropping the grenade and we all scrambled for cover. A badly injured Kalina (PC) tucked into the corner she was already hiding in, joined by Astra (PC) and Anders (PC) who covered both of them to protect them from the blast. Johnny (PC) hid behind a wall as well. Then, after a few seconds of suspense the grenade went off. The bridge was recked but thanks to each person's cover and Anders protection, only minimal crew causalities occurred. The Hijacker on the other hand, had the now closed door launched of it's hinges and crash right into them, thankfully knocking them out. Stuck on the course set by the Hijacker, our crew and passengers gear up preparing for the worst, whilst Astra gets the basic sensors of the craft back online. Upon sensors being restored, the crew find out they are headed into some sort of electrical trap designed to EMP the ship. Kalina and Astra rush to jury-rig the ships thrusters to get them out the way, whilst Anders and Johnny interrogate the Hijacker. We use the Hijacker as a hostage and get guarantees that the EMP field will be shut down if we return them afterwards. Having zero trust for the group that nearly killed her once already, Kalina instead proposes we navigate away from the field using the jury-rigged thrusters and return the Hijacker only upon the jump-drive being operational. We ended the session awaiting to see if they agree. - Highlight curtsy of Hedgie on the discord

Public Enemies: Oh how to put what happened into words. Split into 4 gangs: The Steel Mills, The Eastpoint Rail Station, The Suburbs, and the Dockyards plus a police force, much crime was committed, many territories traded back and forth for conspiring reasons and to keep the police happy. But backstabbing and suspicious hush money was afoot throughout the many stages of conspiring, crimes and meetings. Public enemies forced each gang against each other fighting for reputation, money and resources but all in aid of causing absolute anarchy in New Coventry, Pennsylvania. Speakeasies were set up, banks were robbed, guns were fired, events caused tactics to change. Soup kitchens started popping up and the Steel Mill gang leader was shot by the Police’s superintendent as the last effort of order. Of which only reflected the violence that had led up to it. But unfortunately no ‘Goonunion’ was ever formed even though it was a thought from the very beginning.

Extra Bonus End Bit
Sneak's Sneaky Surprise End Bit!
Sneak the Snake Quiz time!
I know last week’s question was very silly but congrats to those who got it correct. It is in fact 87 times that the word or acronyms of game[s] show up in our events slides. But don’t worry, the strange questions aren't over yet!
For this week’s Sneaks Shiny Question is:
What is a Shiny question?
-
A. Shiny Questions, just like Shiny Pokémon, are worth the same amount of points, they're just slightly different and a little rarer.
-
B. A type of question that deviates from the standard format and often involves multimedia elements or multiple rounds
-
C. A type of question that is slightly more complex or challenging than a standard question
-
D. This Question
(Please answer in the discord as per usual but this time you have all summer to ponder this rather confuzzling question)
Quote of the week:
“Skye! What are your opinions on Goonionising.” - Alex (RPGs Rep) during Megagame
Have a Lovely week, and see you after the Summer Holidays! 🩷💙
