Hello all and welcome to week 2 newsletter!
Things have begun and the dice do be rolling. I hope everyone has settled in nicely after their first week back to uni! I personally have got the freshers flu and be dying, (figuratively, don't worry, I do still live).
But if you haven’t come to any of our events yet, do not fret. Our normal events are still running, (they don’t get anywhere though). But all be it, on with the newsletter!
❗ Announcements ❗
🐉Thank you for coming to our RPGs Mixer🐉
It was so lovely to see everyone at our RPGs mixer!
I do hope people were able to chat about RPGs and maybe even form some groups?
But no fret if you didn't, campaigns and one shots will be put up on the website every now and then so keep your keen eyes peeled for people interested in running games! Additionally, there will be another intro to RPGs at the start of term two and a BIG RPG at the end of it, if you cannot find anything else.

💭 What happened last week? 💭
Last week in LARP: Sabotage!
*An agent of Archbaron Fitzsabre hired a King's Reeve and a group of mercenaries to intercept a supply delivery to Archbaron von Blud's Reeves. They were instructed to take this wagon to the Reeve Chapter house in Oakton, an outpost of Fitzsabre's men, though offered half pay if the supplies were destroyed instead. Along the way, the party encountered bandits (Like, a heck of a lot of bandits), bears, moose (plural), a banana and a coven of witches seemingly after the same supplies they were, before they found the supply caravan. They attempted to fight the guards and steal the caravan, but were instead captured as prisoners. However, as the caravan-puller's contract stated they could only pull the caravan, when they encountered a blockage in the road, the party were put to work clearing it, and used that opportunity to fight their way to freedom, delivering the supplies safely to Fitzsabre's soldiers.
Last week in Wargs * First session back pretty lively!! Look at the fun photos!!
Last week in RPGs
- RPGs Mixer There's not much else to say about this I just wanted to share my artwork I made at the mixer.
- This one didn’t get highlighted last week from intros so here it is now! Into the Deep (Intros): The group found the place of a ransacked hermit, they decided to chase after and catch up with the bandits who did it, a strange harness is rigged up and the strongest swimmer of the group leads them off at high speeds. A harpoon is fired at the bandits but is pushed of course by the honourable fencer of the group. After a bit of a tumble, the group electrifies one criminal, fences a shark and gets the other one. The group basically became detectives, ensuring that the bandits they caught were duly informed of most of their rights (they might have missed a few). With a mix of threats of the horrific paperwork of the legal system (and promising one of the bandits their wife would be able to visit them in prison) they get the location of the other bandits. They head there and navigate through some confusing light-themed puzzles in an ancient temple. They eventually find a Gaint Isopod at the centre who had been resisting against the new civilisation set up by refugees from the surface. The PCs demanded that they pay council tax due to living in the abandoned temple and cite the relevant legal rights. Enraged, the Isopod rushed forward but was flipped onto its back and attacked in its unarmoured belly. This gave enough of a distraction to get out the temple with the two bandits and back to the city for the obvious courtroom drama follow up! (Disclaimer: aforementioned courtroom drama was not present in this session)
