🎴Intro to Riftbound🎴
Come along to our week 6 CCGs session 6-10pm on Thursday where we are doing a collab with esports!
This will be an introductory event to "Riftbound" which is a league of legends TCG that will/has released recently. The session is aimed at teaching people how to play the game.
Please do not worry about needing to have the game yourself as we will have decks provided to teach with.
But the plan is that Edric (our assistant CCGs rep) will teach everyone at 6:15 with a PowerPoint presentation, so please try to get to B2.02 at 6:15.
If you are late however you will still get taught do not worry!

- The Halloween Session: Our party of (mostly) noble-intentioned(ish) mercenaries took on a job to discover the fate of missing hunters and fishers from a town by the Great River. During their investigations, they found many things. Firstly, a troupe of trick-or-treaters, who were very insistent on their trick-or-treating, what with actually being bandits and all, as well as wolves, witches, ghouls, the odd dismembered corpse or two, and other creatures and Lupans. The party came to realise that these people were being kidnapped, but by who they did not know. Before, of course, they made a deal with some more witches. In exchange for gathering some ingredients, no questions asked, for these witches, they pointed the party to a necromancer, Morticus, in the area, who they claimed was the cause of these disappearances. The party tracked him down, encountering the ghosts of many on the trail to his laboratory, before fighting through his horde of failed resurrections, and taking him down. Though the party wished to bring him to local law enforcement, he drank a poison that killed him outright before they could. Where the rest of the party accepted their pay, (Reverend-)Doctor Nightscream saw Morticus’ lab and decided to take it for his own purposes instead.

- Cirque D'Aur: Episode 3: Bardic Inspiration The Circus Monkeys faced their first threat as an (almost) cohesive unit! Sarith's charming magic had affected both Jocasta and Samba, and it was up to the players to solve it! They immediately did so, with extreme prejudice. Thorn was up first, and immediately set upon Jocasta with a flurry of fists frankly unbecoming of such a small child, causing the cleric to immediately try and gain distance. Talia Proudmoor swiftly moved in to probe Sarith's shield, even managing to puncture it briefly! Meanwhile, Cassandra immediately put paid to Jocasta, a burst of holy fire smiting her and blasting her to the side of the tent. Sarith quickly switched tack, having lost her shield and instead taking control of Samba, who summoned orbs of darkness to give Sarith damage resistance and damage the players on the battlefield. Not caring about the resistance, the Circus Monkeys immediately bundled in on Sarith, with only Carthollo and Vaelith hanging back enough to focus on Samba, knocking her out just as she was about to completely fill the stage with darkness. From there, it was quite simply a bloodbath. Sarith used a series of powerful Thunder waves that blasted across the arena, knocking the players back and forth, but their power (and the sheer magic of a busted action economy) was too much for her! Between Vaelith's chromatic orbs (behave), Twig and Talien scoring a Nat 20 with their Greataxe and Cassandra raining down holy fire, Sarith was swiftly softened up for Talia to land a couple elegant blows and finish what she started. Thankfully not dead but certainly defeated, Sarith was able to be questioned... Eagerly pressing her throat against the knife she spat that the only difference between her and the party was that she truly knew the master she served and, with barely a flash of the black dragon claw tattooed on her throat, cast a powerful necrotic spell to take her own life, reducing herself to atoms and leaving only her arcane focus, a strange stone fragment, behind...

Have a look at the collage of 20 dragons from all across various media and see how many you can name of the bat!
