Throwback title to a song I haven’t listened to since primary school. (guys I turned 21 last week feeling nostalgic right now.)
Thank you all for showing up to watch the D&D movie and some for joining us at the Duck beforehand! We had such a good attendance which makes me so excited for future tabletop socials!!
But enough of the past and on with what’s happening in the future!!
âť— Announcements âť—
🕰️BOTC with LARPing⚔️
In collaboration with Mafia society and our LARPing faction of Tabletop there will be a Blood on the Clocktower game ran with costumes and LARP safe weapons!
So come along to the science concourse on Sunday the 7th December at 7pm to join in the fun!
If you don’t know what BOTC is, it’s basically Mafia but with a lot more roles so more people can do things. Additionally, you don’t have to remain in the circle. There is an opportunity for secret convos!
🎲Tabletop Weekend 🎲
So when I said I'll keep mentioning it.
Tabletop weekend is the weekend of week 9. The 6th and 7th December.
Where? B2.02.
When? 10am to 10pm both days.
What? It is a weekend full of games across the society. Whatever you want to play can be accommodated. LARP will run as normal and there'll be an extra Sunday draft that week.
Why? Because Tabletop Weekends are cool and who wouldn’t want to sit in a room and play multiple hours of games. (just kidding it’s a drop in event you can come and go as you please there will be no kidnapping here).

đź’ What happened last week? đź’
Week before last week in LARP
- Astronomy, The Void and Democracy: A small team of mercenaries were hired on to investigate the presumed kidnapping of a scholar from Bibliyat, an initial lead pointing them up into the voidscraper mountains. The mountains were harsh, bringing with them dangers such as bandits (musical), yetis, jagulas, cats, insult-happy imps and bandits (indecisive). They also met some people, up on the mountain, and between the different interactions were able to piece together where this missing astronomer was. They found their hidden lab, solving the puzzle at the front door, then being near-immediately accosted by... themselves? They defeated the clones, and and then a rogue arcane fragment, before finding the astronomer & their acquaintances, uncovering a plot to clone and replace the archabrons to break down the nobility from within and replace it with a democratic government. The party took the astronomer for questioning, but left their allies.
Last week in LARP
- Impworld Strikes Back: The party this week were asked to track down and defeat a dangerous enemy of the Lupanum republic. They made their way through heavily salted fields to Impworld, a horrific land of safety violations. The party journeyed through the blessing of the cannon ball loop, the dive into The Pit, offers of non findable trinkets, and the incredibly intoxicated gladiator ring, accompanied by a mysterious phantom who sung haunting tales of the park (later found to be the head of advertising) to find the runner of the theme park, who they killed, finally stopping Impworld’s reign of terror once and for all.
Last week at Movie Night
- Thank you all for joining us at our first movie night social it was so much fun!

Extra Bonus End Bit
Sneak's Sneaky Surprise End Bit! Sneak the Snake Quiz time!
I do apologise for my unoriginal LARP questions if someone wants to write a better one for me next term please do reach out! But the correct answer was D. The party got captured and taken in as prisoners after failing to fight guards and steal a caravan.
Sneaks question for this week is:
On average how many brackets do I put in the newsletter each week?
-
A. 6.34
-
B. 11.21
-
C. 9.75
-
D. 7.65
As information I made this question a few weeks ago so the last couple newsletters/ duplicates don’t count towards the average. But would love to see your guesses!!
