Greetings and Salutations all. Hope everyone has had a pleasant week despite it being so cold.
Life update of the newsletter time I went to a South Arcade concert. It was very fun!
Also Fun Fact the Tabletop insta got followed by the 'Ilovekoan' account. Of which I found rather amusing as our society apparently used to be apart of the Koan worshippers pre-Covid.
Iāve also very much enjoyed the amount of effort put into figuring out my last week's sneak the snake question. I did read all the answers and was very impressed. Answer revealed later in the newsletter so lets get on with it cause Iām sure your dying to know if you got it correct.

š§Tabletop Treatsš§
Come along to this weeks board games as it will be a little special. Not only will it be starting at 1pm that day (due to some unfortunate room bookings), but we will also be hosting our Tabletop Treats event, which is our own little bake sale raising funds in support of the Albert Kennedy Trust (AKT), who help give LGBTQ+ 16-25 year olds at risk of, or experiencing homelessness the support they need to thrive. š§ Tabletop Quiz š§
This Friday the 5th December in B2.02 from 6-8pm we will be holding our termly Quiz!!
Now while we may call it a tabletop quiz this can truly be on any topic. Weāve had rounds on video games , TV shows, action parks, Ikea tables, movies and more! So it is truly a guessing game most of the time, but in teams of 4 it is a lot of fun! And there will be prizes to be won. Ha that rhymed.
Quiz is however one of our events that has a paid entry but it is only Ā£1.50 per person (in cash) (to allow us to buy the winning team prizes) So be there!

GUYS ITāS THIS WEEKEND! Be ready! Be prepared! For a weekend full of games, games and more games!
You have availability to Boardgames, Card games, Wargames, there will be a Draft Sunday at 12, LARP also Sunday at 12 and Blood on the Clocktower collab with Mafia society where theyāll be (stealing) borrowing our stuff for their event at 7pm on the Sunday. Woah so much happening on that Sunday!
But itās gonna be such a fun-filled weekend so do show up when you can!!

Guys this Tabletop Weekend has more in it! On Saturday 6th December (not Sunday for once), we will be holding a painting competition!
So if you have painted any models (or units of model) please bring them along to showcase them. These can be for Wargs or for RPGs!
Additionally, whether it is your first time painting or you're a pro at it there will be prizes to be won in both cases.

Last week in LARP
- These Shining Coast Nobles Keep Giving Themselves More Titles: A small party was hired by a High Lord Many Titles, Far Too Many To List Here, to retrieve a shield stolen from The Count of The Dunes and The Mines and The Everything Else Around, for a pay of 1 TR each. They trekked into the desert, encountering bandits, a desert Oasis with a stranded musician and his hit song Wonderfence, some drop bears, and a hunter trying to tame a baby dragon bird. It was a chicken. The party shot it, and Alexios was nearly killed for the transgression. They eventually came across a mine owned by Count Titles, blagging their way in by convincing the guards they had an opportunity to get more Very Willing Not Indentured Workers, that they had to discuss with the Count, before killing him and taking the shield. Upon bringing the shield to High Lord Titles, the High Lord revealed that he had A. acquired more titles in the time they had been gone, including claiming to be a Tarquin, and B. decided not to pay them after all. So, of course, the party fought him, but he struck a deal, promising them more money in exchange for keeping his life. What with the whole Tarquin thing, it remains to be seen how much longer heāll live, but the party did leave without their pay. (Highlight from Sam)

What you missed on Eclion: (cause we keep forgetting to make a summary) The sisters had a big rift drawn between them as a prophecy was finally explained to them by the oldest sister Nova, in which it seems they may all die if they continue on this journey. But on it they continue because they all want to get their kingdom back. But before they can they have a quest to complete: Astrals to gain the favour of and vestiges to find. So they defeated Titan the astral of the earth and Vega gained its blessing. (Whoo!!!) But the meteor that he was holding up has now crashed into the earth as he is gone and the disk has now collapsed into lava canyons as the 4 sisters run for there lives only to find their car had been stolen. But with their luck they get found by friends and driven to the safety of Lestarlum! Back there they realise they actually (for being princesses) donāt have a lot of money and spend a few days going on small quests to pick up a bit of cash. Doing the casual stuff like killing monsters, trying to solve land disputes (and getting shot in the process), taking down cults, annoying a pig seller, saving children etc etcā¦ After a shopping trip to get magic items, gifting presents to a small child called Lily they saved, and getting a call from a grumpy car mechanic (who is not very pleased with the siblings effort to keep the car safe) they figured out what there next plan their car is in a empire military base so itās time for stealth to get it back ā¦ or you know keep turning left and hope it works. Which it did. They found their car and a surprise visit from a stuck up girl called Larissa the siblings friends big sis who they attacked before she could say more than two words. Long story short they kidnapped her and drove away realising this was just a big distraction and Lestarlum was getting attacked by the empire as fake news is played out that the refugees were the cause of the city in flames. Ensue big fight as the siblings did what they couldā¦ To help the civilians kill the empire soldiers and Magic Techs or (MTās) and find their companions who had been left here and not sent with the others to fix up a boat. Highlights Nova got pissed at a guy who took there dead fathers sword and ring. Vega moved a lot of earth saved a bunch of people and almost got choked by a mean guy we all hate. Pandora saved Lily from a burning building and helped a bunch of civilians and soldiers be free by pulling all the attention to herself. Solstice well made herself look like an empire commander to get the soldiers to leave Lestarum and became more demon like in the process. But the battle didnāt come without its losses as Ethel the siblings trainer died fighting with the final words to Vega a phrase sheād always said ā it hurts, because if it hurts, we learn from itā. A proper Viking burial was given to the fallen as we leave the campaign for this term. (highlight from Me)

Last Time on Cirque D'Aur: Episode 5: Whirlpool Eyes: Having been gathered together by Carthollo and transported into Loretta's Mindscape, a pocket within the Ethereal Plane (with the exception of Gilgram, whose dwarvish stature Carthollo forgot to account for and who was therefore missed with the Gate spell), the Circus Monkeys set about fixing whatever was the problem. Finding themselves in an illusory replica of the Big Top, the party were immediately beset with black-scaled kobolds, both regular and flying, guarding a series of pillars of light which in turn were powering a shield covering the exit. Thorne and Talia were up first, discovering very quickly that these kobolds were incredibly squishy, and that a single attack would tend to reduce them to a fine, if slightly annoyed, powder. Talia especially made short work of four kobolds in a single turn, thanks to her expert swordsmanship and the Haste spell, which Vaelith had cast on both her and Twig and Talien. Cassandra, flaming wings already out, took to the air to attack some of the flying kobolds, watching them turn into orbs of pink-ish energy as they fell to the floor. Twig and Talien proceeded to immediately carve a path through the swarm of kobolds, taking out three ground ones with a single swing of their great-axe before leaping into the air and flattening a flying one. Thanks to landing with the flying kobold-corpse, he made contact with the orb of light it dropped, cloaking himself in a thin veneer of psychic energy. Thorne took this idea and ran with it, collecting two of these orbs of psychic energy as soon as possible. The moment he touched the second, the psychic force that surrounded him coalesced into an Isomorphic Spear, a beam of pure psychic energy, tapered to a razor-sharp point. It seemed to resonate with the pillars, and he followed his intuition and attacked - causing the pillar to burst and weakening the shield. Talia followed suit, as did Baern, and soon the shield was no more. (highlight from Eurydice)
