❗ Announcements ❗
🐉BIG RPG 🐉
Our sign ups for BIG RPG will be out this Sunday!
Come along Week 7 Sunday the 1st March to B2.02 after LARP 4-10pm to play!!
Now what is a BIG RPG you might ask?
Well it's one big room with multiple tables of players with GMs for each playing an RPG system where different tables can interact with each other to determine the outcome of the story.
For this year's BIG RPG our RPG reps with the help of some other society members have been cooking up their very own homebrewed BIG RPG system for you all to play which I’ve been told has something to do with pirates.
So when the sign ups are out do come along to find out what they've been working on.

💭 What happened last week? 💭
Last week in LARP
- The Wilds, Spirits, and Ghosts: Aerys, a wilds mage and hunter, found that a spirit of woodland creatures was being harassed by supernatural beings, both of ghostly and magical nature. They enlisted the help of supernatural and banishing expert, Abjurer-Lieutenant Andromalius Blackthorn, 2nd Adjutant to the 4th Marshal Supreme Exorcist-General, and fire mage Bryce Pyria, who is very good at taking hits. Together, they ventured into the woods, facing horrifying creatures, firefighting bandits, and witches. The witches told the party of many ghosts, including those of lost souls, over-egoed nobility, and poachers fighting far above their strength. The first ghost they encountered was the over-egoed noble. He claimed to be from the shining coast, having taken over land in the forest to build a settlement. There was an obsession with legacy for him, and he'd built a giant statue of himself in the desolate forest, before attempting anything else. He died before he could go further. The party saw him, and after attempts to banish him failed, burned down his statue, destroying him. They trekked further, encountering imps and ghouls and a lot of water. The imps had set up a fake 'ghost tour', leading poor souls into the woods for money and cheap entertainment. On this tour, however, the party encountered real ghosts, a pair of souls who had gotten lost in the trees and died, stuck trying to get out. They first advised them to climb a tree, which didn't work, so sent them on their way with someone who had fallen for the imp's scam. They fought ghouls, jumped rivers , and met hunters, who told stories of a member of their clan who fought something far beyond his skill. They didn't have to wait long to learn what it was, as, past swarms of bees and trees, they were attacked by a wilds dragon. It hit them hard, nearly killing the party multiple times, but after a long and arduous fight, they prevailed, if battered and bruised and slightly stung by its bee breath. The woodlands animals spirit thanked Aerys profusely, bestowing upon him deep knowledge of wilds magic, allowing him to discover and develop skills beyond many mages understanding.
Last week in Boardgames
- Spirit Island 5 player game: Lair Lure, Deeps Ocean, Starlight, Wandering Voice and Memory versus England 4 + France 3! Very memorable game, we realised after a couple turns that if there was ever a build at my lair, we insta lost the game, so event draws were very tense . Other things of note: Chris (Starlight) was stuck in the lair for probably half the game, since Starlight only has R0 growth and all other presence was destroyed by TransSac (don't ask how many minor powers Chris ended with). Skies Herald the Season of Return was actually an mvp in freeing Starlight from the prison. Alex (Deeps) was fully thresholding the deeps innates every turn from turn (2?, 3?) onwards. I didn't get enough ammo in my lair :( (as evidenced by the picture). Ryan (Memory) may have used Bargains of Coursing Paths 3 times. We drew possibly the worst events possible, getting back to back blight events which we couldn't afford to let through (see: inordinate amount of destroyed presence). "Wow, imagine if you drew Solidify Echoes" you say - we said that too, and Peter (Voice) did, and it was great. (so yes there was even more destroyed presence than in the picture). Towards the end of the game, we were sure to lose. Alex's board was horrible, and we had 4 blight left. We needed Alex specifically to draw Cast Down and Chris specifically to draw Exaltation. The major deck obviously loved us because that's exactly what happened (almost exactly). In the end we pulled through, cast down two boards and got ourselves a terror 3 win with 1 blight to spare!
