Have I got (big) news for you!
Announcements
It's the finaaal hoodie announcement (doo doo dooo dooo do do do dodo)
Hoodie orders disappear after this coming Sunday (May 10th, orders closing just before midnight), so if you're fretting about what customisation you want, the pressure is now on.
Remember, if you have any questions or problems with ordering, you can contact Benjamin McRae, our lovely treasurer, who'll be able to provide you with any help you need! He's on our Tabletop Discord, and checking our society emails over at su303@warwicksu.com.
Order here to show your love for this lil’ society.
Save the date!
Some of you may be wondering what's happening to our big term 3 events now that we're stuck at home. Wonder no more, because after a (somewhat) productive (and mildly chaotic) exec meeting last week, we have settled on a timetable of special events that we'll be bringing you later this term.
Details about exactly when and how these events will take place will be coming in the following weeks, so keep a look out in the newsletter for... news. This is just a mini "save the date and get hyped!" announcement.
- Week 9 (15th -> 21st June) - Tabletop Pride Week
- Tuesday wk 9 (16th June) - Draft Cube for Pride
- Friday wk 9 (19th June) - Tabletop Quiz (Online)
- Saturday/Sunday wk 9 (20th -> 21st June) - Tabletop Radio for The 2.6 Challenge
- Saturday/Sunday wk 10 (27th -> 28th June) - Tabletop Extravaganza (Online)

What's happening this week?
Wow, this schedule looks almost identical to last week. Remember, all of these events will be organised/played over on our Discord, so please go join if you haven't already: https://discord.gg/rsmuF27
- Monday 5-10pm: Isolation Tabletop (Wargames and Board Games)
- Tuesday 6-10pm: Isolation Draft - Ikoria (IKO) - free, with a promo prize to the winner - you must sign up here so we know whether we we have enough players to run
- Thursday 5-10pm: Isolation CCGs
What happened last week?
Our first Magic: the Gathering draft online was pretty good fun, if I do say so myself. 6 of us turned up to play the new set Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths (there's a lot of monster mash-ups, and Godzilla shows up occasionally. No that's not a joke). Congrats to Ellie who won with an Abzan cycling/reanimator deck, which, yes, included Godzilla. No, I'm still not joking. If the thought of Godzilla has interested you, we'll be drafting Ikoria again this week, so sign up to join us!
We also conducted our first online public exec meeting! This is your reminder that yes, as a member of the society, you're allowed to drop by exec meetings if you wish. During our meetings, the exec will be chatting in the exec
voice channel in our Tabletop Society Discord, and you can contribute via text in the #exec
text channel! We'll let you know when we're meeting in advance on Discord too.
That's all the news I've got for you this week, so I'm checking out. See you again next week!
Wash your hands, stay inside, and come play some games with us <3
