Term 2 Epilogue

Reports from the town of Nivalas spread quickly. Councillor Note stepped into The Mists at around 5:30pm, accompanied by a crack squad of Wardens. Within minutes, flashing lights like never seen light the mists crimson. The flashes continue for around half an hour as evening begins to set. A figure coalesced in mist stumbles out of the wall of fog. Upon being spotted, it immediately folds into the shadows. Not long after the prisoners of the Wardens, along with the 2 who remained to guard them, are discovered to have disappeared. The Mists, usually a dull grey, are darker in shade, yet they also seem to be glowing.

The next morning Councillor Note is found by a rather surprised secretary. He was working in his office in Aestas, and Councillor Ferme quickly sends out a statement denying malicious rumours. "Aestas does not involve itself in the business of the South, and Councillor Note has been in Aestas exclusively for the past several weeks." Nevertheless, Wardens from all over the north have sudden orders to return to the capital.
