You want it, you've asked for it, you've heard Scarlett say "I should run a Modern League" probably several times, and now it's here! I'll be running a weekly league from weeks 6-10 (4 weeks) using the Modern format for Magic: The Gathering. If you don't know what that is, I recommend checking it out here. Here's how it'll work
- Each week, you'll bring a 60 card modern legal deck, with a 15 card sideboard. This doesn't have to be the same deck each week, and proxying is 100% allowed. If you don't have one and don't have the time to proxy anything, there'll be 3 proxied decks for you to borrow at CCGs (namely Grixis Death's Shadow, 4 Colour Blink, and W/b Hammer Time)
- On Mondays at 7pm, I will post 1 round of pairings in #magic-the-gathering on our Discord server. It's then down to you to organise one best of 3 match with your opponent during the week. Thursdays at CCGs is a convenient place to do this in person, but, as long as you and your opponent agree, you can do this any place at any time, even online if you wish!
- You can then report your results to me by 6pm the next Monday by either PMing me or @-ing me in #magic-games-chat, and I'll add them to this spreadsheet
- After all the games are done, results will be tallied on Monday 14th March, and a winner will be declared! The prize for winning is a shout-out in the newsletter and the eternal glory that brings (if there's enough hype and interest, I can look at doing something a with a tad bigger prize pool at the end of term or something)
