Adventures in Middle Earth: "Don't Leave the Path" (One-shot) #1
Thursday 4PM

d&d 5e

D&D 5e; AIME

The ruins of the old Lake-town are visible in the water.
Blackened poles poke out like ribs, and when the water is very, very still,
one can sometimes spot the bones of Smaug the Dreadful.
Sometimes gemstones from the dragon’s fabled diamond
waistcoat wash up on the shore.
The company hear someone running, and shouts of ‘help!
help!’.
A young boy about ten years old bursts out of the
rushes ahead of them. He spots the company and runs
towards them, waving his arms. Tears run down his
cheeks.
“Help! Please help! My father – his guards – they’re going
to kill him! We’re going to Mirkwood and they’re going to
kill him! He told me to run! Find help! Help!

Adventures in Middle Earth is a D&D 5e conversion set in the world of Lord of The Rings. In the coming weeks I hope to be running a series of adventures set in the Wilderland, the lands to the west of the Misty Mountains. So time to gather a party and go on an adventure playing the world's greatest fantasy RPG in the world's greatest fantasy setting.

The first adventure is "Don't Leave the Path!"

When: The company may undertake this quest at any
time during the spring, summer or autumn.
Where:
The quest begins in Lake-town, on the Long-Lake.
What:
The company are hired to escort a merchant’s
caravan across Mirkwood. The journey begins at the
Halls of the Elvenking.
Why:
The Battle of Five Armies and the ensuing peace
means that there is more trade and travel across the
North. A Merchant of Dale intends to capitalise on
this by bringing Dalish smithcraft and jewels across
Mirkwood to Woodland Hall.
Who:
Baldor Rivergold is the name of the merchant.
He travels with his son Belgo, a youth of ten years.

Designed for 1st and 2nd level characters. As this is different to normal 5th Edition I would ask that you think of a character concept you may enjoy playing in the world of Middle Earth but don't bother making charaters as we will do this at the start of the session and clarify expectations. I may also have some created pregens for you to use too. With that, look forward to playing with you soon!

Meet social sciences café just before!
