It's coming up to that time of year again everyone where we spend two days streaming all manner of games and gaming-related content in order to raise money for a charity that you've picked.
This year we're excited to be raising money for SpecialEffect, a charity which supports phyically disabled people with innovative technology, including adapted video game setups. In order to raise as much as possible we're going to have donation incentives and stretch goals (which are both in the works at the moment) and most crucially we're going to have lots of fun on stream and we want you to all get involved.
So far we have several ideas for segments that we're already working on, including playing Jackbox, running an RPG, Dead Air (a cool RPG/podcast), Make Some Noise, and The Unbelievable Truth (see below for more on those last two). In previous years we've had Bob Ross art segments, TableTED Talks, Tabletopoly, and so much more. All you need to be involved is a free hour or two, an internet connection, and a laptop/computer.
If you are interested in:
GMing an RPG, Playing in an RPG, Suggesting and/or organising a segment, Participating in any of the segments we've so far mentioned (or any future ones we come up with)
then please get in touch with any of the core organisers (@ ArtemisForest#9741#9741, @ ORCH1D#3686, @Wymondham#3478, or @Lonely Secundus#6298 ) via Discord - we can't do this without your help!
β¨ π» Call for participants for 2 different Tabletop Radio segments! π»β¨
π The Unbelievable Truth π
Do you like talking for 5 minutes about something silly that interests you? Do you like lying? Do you like sniffing out when other people are lying? Then do I have the Tabletop Radio segment for you!
I'm looking for 3 people to be contestants on a likely very nerdy version of "The Unbelievable Truth" (a radio four comedy panel show, listen to an example here). You basically get to write a 5 minute speech about pretty much anything (examples from the show are barcodes, left-handedness, Lord Byron, and The Internet) sneaking in 5 lies which the other contestants will try and identify in order to win points!
This will form part of our fundraising stream this summer and will take about 1 hour of your time on discord on either Saturday 19th or Sunday 20th of August (we're still nailing down an exact schedule).
π Make Some Noise π
Do you like improv and being silly with friends? Do you like making noises? Do you like the sound of being asked to make noises rather than being asked to please stop making them? Then this Tabletop Radio segment is for you!
I'm looking for 2 people (out of three total) to be contestants on our version of "Make Some Noise" (a Dropout game show, watch an example here). Contestants will be given a range of wild prompts (such as a donkey, dinosaur speaks its first english, and Batman doing Cameo) and asked to act them out/imitate them. Some of the prompts will be individual, some in pairs, and some as a trio.
This will form part of our fundraising stream this summer and will take about 1 hour of your time on discord on either Saturday 19th or Sunday 20th of August (we're still nailing down an exact schedule).
Please message @ArtemisForest (OG Co-Op they/he) if you're interested in either segment or if you have any questions
π¨Good at graphic design?
We're looking for a graphic design officer to help us design our funky promos and marketing!
If youβre interested, please contact Ben (Nasenbaer23#8574)!

π What happened last week? π
Last week in Wargames:
From our game "The Purple Inquisitorial Force vs Spooky Ancient Robots"! Ending in a win for the Imperial team, but only after taking heavy losses from a literal god-incarnate!
Last week in ALIEN: Destroyer of Worlds:
- A speedrun of ALIEN! Not because everyone was great at strategy but because the crew all died in the first act! Yup NPCs and all!
- Everyone was a parkour expert! Even the car could do backflips!
- A lot of people on the moon were suffering with a "terminal case of balding"
Last week in LARP: The party made their way across the Unending Desert past some particularly aggressive emus in search of a hidden entrance into the deeps which they gained access to after answering 3 riddles from a Sphinx. There, they found the Whispering Village, inhabited by fish people who requested they kill a giant scorpion to be allowed passage across a large lake. Following the trail of destruction it had left, they slew the beast and were granted gills so that they could swim across the lake. Once on the other side, it was a simple trail to the Gatekeeper of Magalak who Toful proved himself to by temporarily separating the Gatekeeper's soul and body, average alchemy things, allowing him to finally return home.
