It's my birthday and here I am, still bringing you your Monday morning newsletter (jk, I wrote this all yesterday and just opened my laptop from where I am in bed to publish it).

Tabletop Radio Schedule
Our Tabletop Radio meeting last week was pretty productive, and now we have a full schedule (subject to change) to show you!
This is a slight teaser as the segment names aren't the most obvious in some cases. Thomas is endeavouring to compile all the information about Tabletop Radio in one place for you: keep an eye on this link and you'll soon get to see a full description of the event and scheduled segments, donation incentives, and more.
We are also still looking for people to help out! This is especially true now that we have segments confirmed. We're particularly looking for people to play in Adventuring with Pride or present a talk on anything you're passionate about in the TableTED talks, and to help us out with organisation in general. Contact me (Ares, @dovahbutt#7544
) on Discord if you're interested, and I'll help you get involved!
Website Down-Time
Our website will be down for an amount of the afternoon (unfortunately we cannot be more precise on the timings) on May 28th (this Thursday), due to it having a little walk over to a different server. We apologise if this impacts you negatively in any way.
What's happening this week?
- Monday 5-10pm: Isolation Tabletop (Wargames and Board Games)
- Tuesday 6-10pm: Isolation Draft - Innistrad (ISD) - free, with a promo prize to the winner - you must sign up here so we know whether we we have enough players to run. Allegedly, Innistrad is one of the best sets to draft, though I've not yet tried it myself. We'll see on Tuesday!
- Thursday 5-10pm: Isolation CCGs
What happened last week?
It was a big week for Magic: the Gathering players. We had our usual draft on Tuesday but with maximum chaos: one of the packs was in French, which was fun ("Foreign Black Border"), and we had a pack with only 7 cards in it (Fallen Empires). Congrats to Jamie for taking first!
On Thursday, we did a slightly delayed pre-release amongst ourselves. Some of us had physical pre-release kits (how I have missed actual magic cards), some of us simulated our pools via the website we use for draft. Congratulations to Ethan for taking the win on this one! Pictured right is his winning deck.
Baking with Ares 3: Soft Amaretti Biscuits
This week was going to be chai cupcakes, but then my mum sent me a cake in the post and I don't want to be caked out. So I've done amaretti biscuits instead! I saw this recipe on Saturday Kitchen with Gino D'Acampo (what an icon) years ago now. These are super quick and easy (with only 4 ingredients), and incredibly moreish. I would like to say that I halved the recipe to only make 10, but that is not what I did... 20 biscuits will be finding their way into my stomach over the next few days.
That's all from me this week folks. Good luck with exams; hang in there!
Wash your hands, stay inside, and come play some games with us <3
