Tales from the Loop - Intro RPGs

Tales from the Loop - Intro RPGs
12-6pm Saturday the 2nd of October H1.03

“The landscape was full of machines and scrap metal connected to the
facility in one way or another. Always present on the horizon were
the colossal cooling towers of the Bona Reactor, with their green obstruction
lights. If you put your ear to the ground, you could hear the
heartbeat of the Loop – the purring of the Gravitron, the central piece
of engineering magic that was the focus of the Loop’s experiments.”

Tales from the Loop, a game based on the TV show by the same name, is an RPG where you play a group of kids between the ages of 10-15 and try to solve a mystery surrounding the Loop. This underground particle accelerator is the central focus for all kinds of machines and experiments that allow you to go on fantastical adventures to escape your dull, often problematic, everyday life.

This fairly rule-light, roleplay-focused system is perfect for melancholic catharsis, child-like wonder, and escapism. The game is designed so the world and story can be told collaboratively - it won’t be just me as GM telling it! You don’t need fancy dice, just a bunch of 6 sided one. You don’t need great ideas, just an open mind to what the rulebook presents. You don’t even need to watch the show. There is fun to be had by anyone and everyone looking for an intro to RPGs!

Time will be set aside for character creation if that’s something you want to do, but pre-generated ones will be ready too!
