Action Point Recap
Reminders/Updates
First open day was the day after this meeting (Saturday, 18/06/2022), working out who was on stall and the logistics of moving stuff around with cars to display at our stand in Rootes - sorted by filling in spreadsheet and tweaking things to get around absence of some exec due to COVID.
MtG x D&D collab moved to next year due to low interest, planned to advertise on welcome week. Megagame two days after the meeting, sorting final bits relating to exactly when we want control to arrive and moving stuff there. Tabletop Radio - fundraising side set up, a few segments still need players, minor timing and interlude tweaks. Quiz rounds - all round runners have given titles, will be ready on schedule. Tabletop Extravaganza - tell people who are interested to put games up on the website, several potential events - Warhammer tournament, painting competition, unset draft, a TI game, final LARP of the year, Wanderhome.
Following a question in #general in the Discord, we need to figure out if we, in a society capacity, want to run any events over summer. The decision was that no society events would b erun explicitly, but the server is still a resource for finding games (e.g. commander). Lewis will draft an announce detailing this, because it was decided official events would require at least one exec member present, although we have trusted members, ex-exec, and postgrads, who are still around, but society events need to be at least overseen by a member of exec. There is also the issue of storage because there's no access to B2.02 over summer. Following up on this, the announcement should mention that if people want to use the website or Discord to find people who are still in the area for games, that’s absolutely fine, as long as a distinction is made that they are not society events. Any resources must be gotten out before week 10 ends, or else these will be inaccessible.
Update on RPG books- no contact from the bookshop, if no contact this time next week, delay the sale until September. Discussion about storage space- Alonso is gonna remove the RPGs books from the cupboard and store them at ours to free up room, CCGs/Boardgames will then be able to redistribute stuff. Welcome week only stuff to be moved to Wargs cupboard? LARP cupboard needs reorganisation sooner rather than after- before Welcome Week if possible. Mask policy needs to be discussed next exec meeting.
