Action Point Recap Reminders/Updates
Action Points are here as an image because there was a lot - they're also in the linked slides.
Make sure Welcome Week events are tagged as sober, are done, have standardised titles, etc.
Megagame stuff needs doing in advance to give alumni travel plan time, so needs newsletter and Facebook/Discord announcement, also needs ticketing sorted once the SU sort the handover so we have an actual treasurer. Murder Mystery needs a poster - Ed had ideas, was worried about feasibility, was assured that if we can have an airship in a fantasy setting his idea is definitely workable. Event slides need updating after a call from Lewis for term 3 ones - advertising our events, COVID form, etc. Also, a call from Lewis to make sure they're on at events - they often aren't at CCGs. The CCGs/RPGs Baldur's Gate crossover was discussed, and suggested that it be held during Tabletop Extravaganza so we have details locked in to advertise on the slides.
A brief progress update - very little done due to exams, but other exec volunteers codified: Ben and Lils are both free on the day, Lewis, Alonso, Hannah and Alvis are all able to help organise or plan beforehand, but are busy with exams closer to the time so unable to help NPC on the day.
Tabletop Radio is making progress - segments mostly sorted (completely sorted - Anakin sent in an RPG literally a minute after the meeting!) - just need scheduling and players need recruiting. Some recruitment has already happened within exec or otherwise, and further stuff can be advertised via the newsletter. Finnbar and Hannah to sort scheduling over the weekend based on technical setup similarities. We also need to nominate a charity (from AOB, see there for further discussion)
The Megagame is in a similar boat, making steady progress. Several elements that need tweaks for game design or geopolitical reasons have been identified, and those changes are slowly being made, as well as any printing or component tweaks that need doing identified. A lot of angry grumbling about design choices and gameplay improvements.
Ben raised that the cupboard needs clearing of our old donated RPGs, and asked if anyone knows specialist RPG/books dealers relatively locally. It was also raised that because we got them for free, we don't need to turn a profit, so can just recycle them to get our cupboard space back. There was also a reminder that people need to fill in the COVID form at events, a comment on how a few of our events have had the doors locked at the start and the possibility of emailing Community Safety should this persist, and a discussion of charities for Tabletop Radio. The suggestion was to swap Mermaids in the shortlist for another charity given we supported them last year. Last year's shortlist was Mermaids, Galop, and Kaleidoscope International Trust.
Week 4 Further event progress updates, mainly (Probably start running Tabletop Radio specific organiser meetings around that time as well)
